This blog has been set up to offer all kinds of news, information and resources to do (mostly) with the latest books by Tohby Riddle. 

TOHBY RIDDLE is an internationally award-winning author, illustrator, cartoonist, designer and sometime editor based in Katoomba. He has written and illustrated numerous well-loved picture books; a novel; was the cartoonist for Good Weekend magazine for nearly ten years; and is a former editor of The School Magazine, a literary magazine for children. He also illustrated the multi-award-winning Word Spy books (Word Snoop in the US) written by Ursula Dubosarsky. 

More recently, one of the world’s greatest living writers Haruki Murakami translated Tohby’s book My Uncle’s Donkey into Japanese, after discovering it in a Melbourne bookshop in 2018. Yahoo Creek: an Australian mystery, has been acclaimed by reviewers since its release in in 2019 and was shortlisted for the 2020 CBCA awards. Tohby also designed and illustrated the best-selling humour book, 488 Rules for Life, by popular Australian comedian Kitty Flanagan, which was also released in 2019. His latest picture book is The Astronaut’s Cat. In late 2020, Tohby Riddle was nominated by Australia for the 2022 Hans Christian Andersen Awards.
